Bare your fangs, Team Edward. Get yer claws out, Team Jacob. Get your head-nod on, Team Hip-Hop. What? Yeah, it’s Mr. Kick Push, Lupe Fiasco, with some true school New Moon rap for your immortal soul.

Fresh off of his comeback mixtape, Enemy Of The State: A Love Story, Lupe Fiasco applies his cerebral rhymes to the Twilight saga on “Solar Midnite.”

The video for this noisy, rap-rock affair inter-cuts footage of a paranoid Lupe walking around a city and performing in a warehouse (with full band) with the love story we’re all so familiar with: Bella  And Edward + 1 (Werewolf).

“Solar Midnite” is the lone hip-hop track on the New Moon soundtrack, though it rocks harder than a lot of the contributions (we’re looking at you, Bon Iver). Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers album is due out at some point in 2010. Fingers crossed.
