Vampire Weekend, Eddie Vedder Cover Springsteen Jimmy Fallon and the cast of Glee, who covered "Born to Run" during the Emmys' opening skit, have company: Vampire Weekend took on the Born in the U.S.A. track "I'm Goin' Down" at a concert in Vancouver, while Eddie Vedder offered a faithful take …

Not that she ever lost it, but Beyoncé’s definitely still got it. “It,” of course, being killer, to-die-for curves, as you can’t NOT clearly see on the September 2010 cover of Self magazine, which features Beyoncé — who’s up for five 2010 MTV VMAs, including Best Female Video, against Taylor Swift — in a body-hugging neon bandage dress. As if being one of the sexiest, curviest, AND most talented women on the planet (married to one of the most talented MEN on the planet) weren’t enough (because it’d certainly be enough for me), Beyoncé’s also one of Self’s Women Doing Good award winners for her ongoing to charity work. So, when your mom told you nobody’s perfect, she actually lied to you. I mean, just witness that fitness.

Now your copies of “Catcher In The Rye,” “The Great Gatsby” and the Holy Bible won’t be so lonely. Justin Bieber’s “100% Official” autobiography is coming, and above is the cover art to prove it.

The book promises, in a jacket quote from Justin himself, “lots of exclusive photos just for you.” What it doesn’t mention is the “Inception”-like plot where nothing is what it seems, up is down, black is white and you can’t trust anyone.

It doesn’t promise that because it’s not in there. Nope, “Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story,” is pretty much what it says in the title, a document of Bieber’s rise from Canadian obscurity to global domination.

Hopefully nobody will throw water bottles at the Biebs at any of his book signings. “First Step 2 Forever” hits bookstores in October.

Obviously Lady Gaga’s granny-grey hair, toplessness, and so-’60s peace sign and blissed-out expression were the focal point of her “Vanity Fair” cover. But Gaga super-sleuth Gaga fans probably noticed her fantastic matte grey nails. Okay, so, the shade of gray Gaga’s wearing is by Deborah Lippmann — that’s her and Gaga above — and it’s called “Waking Up In Vegas.” Whether or not the grey polish Gaga was wearing was inspired by the Katy Perry song is unclear. But she did name one of her polishes — a blood-red glittery shade — “Bad Romance” after Lady Gaga, who earned 10 out of her 13 total 2010 VMA nominations for the “Bad Romance” video alone. Probably easier to name it “Bad Romance,” since “Ra Ra Ah Ah Ah, Roma Roma Ma, Gaga Ooh La La” is too long to fit on a bottle.

The Katy Perry offensive has truly begun in earnest. Television appearances, hosting gigs, singles released and magazine covers graced, all in anticipation of the release of the California gurl’s second full-length album, Teenage Dream.

Nothing screams “I’ve got an album coming out” like an appearance on the cover of “Rolling Stone,” which, for many artists, is truly a sign of “making it.” Well, reverse that. Katy Perry is on the cover of the upcoming issue of “Rolling Stone,” and, I think it’s safe to say, girl has truly made it.

Despite being decked out in a bra-and-undies set that leaves little to the imagination, the majority of Perry’s interview with “Rolling Stone” seems to focus on her rather strict religious upbringing — one where deviled eggs were called “angel eggs,” and you couldn’t call yourself “lucky,” because it sounded like the word “lucifer.”

It’s not all angels and demons, though. Katy Perry shares the amusing fact that she bought fiancé Russell Brand a ticket on Virgin Galactic’s outer space flight for his birthday. Fly us to the moon, Katy.

Katy’s Rolling Stone issue hits stands on Friday. Teenage Dream is out on August 24.

Look who it is on the cover of the September issue of “Vanity Fair.” Lady Gaga in all her distinguished gray glory. We’ve been keeping our eye on the burgeoning gray hair boom in pop music, charting the progress of Gaga and Kelis  in this “gray” area. But unlike her previous forays into gray, Gaga makes it work on the cover of VF.

As always, Gaga is a colorful interview subject. In the cover story, the “Bad Romance” singer goes into detail about her past drug use, her controversial, bird-flipping appearance at a New York Mets game (which drew the ire of Jerry Seinfeld) and, most compellingly, her near-constant state of loneliness.

Gaga tells “Vanity Fair,” “I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist.” She goes on to discuss her fear that she’ll lose her creativity by being intimate with her lover. And that she stores her creativity… where else?… but in her vagina.

The September granny-tastic issue of “Vanity Fair” hits newsstands on August 10.

Katy Perry went the extra mile for the unveiling of her “Teenage Dream” album artwork today (July 21), revealing a 6×6 canvas painting of the cover to her fans watching live on Ustream.

M.I.A.: The Billboard Cover Story

On the heels of a banned video and a controversial New York Times interview, M.I.A. talks about her new album, Trufflegate” and the art of controversy.

He’s not even 17, but Justin Bieber is blessing the cover of Seventeen magazine with his holy presence. The magazine comes with not one, not even two nor three but FOUR Justin Bieber posters! That’s like having four Christmases in a row.

The Seventeen article isn’t exactly a probing piece on the Beebs — you already knew his first kiss was at 13 and that his celebrity crush is on Beyonce. Or at least I did. But I did NOT know that Justin Bieber’s favorite fast food is Subway. Mine’s Taco Bell, so unfortunately that’s one less thing I have in common with him, and probably one more thing standing in my way of becoming Mrs. Justin Bieber. But if you’d like to potentially becoming Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, Seventeen has helpfully included a quiz to determine the likelihood of that happening.

The Seventeen interview also goes on to reveal a kind of sadly existential side of Justin Bieber: when asked what he dreamt of recently, he answered “I dreamt about blackness because I don’t dream. I just fall asleep, see black, and wake up.” Dude, I’m sorry but that is a bummer. Sweeter dreams, Justin Bieber. Sweeter dreams.
