See the hottest live shots of Green Day, Lady Gaga and more Anyone looking for evidence of how the Green Day headlining Lollapalooza in 2010 differed from the Green Day that headlined the festival in 1994 needed only to wait until the group's second song, when Billy Joe Armstrong hoisted …

The punk veterans played a thrilling, two-and-a-half-hour-long Lollapalooza set made up of tracks from “21st Century Breakdown” and “American Idiot,” balanced with plenty of favorites.

See scorching live shots of Lady Gaga, the Strokes and more For those keeping score at home, here's what $250,000 buys you: the chassis of one neon-green Hyundai, big enough to hold two dancers; a miniature replica of a New York City subway car that's capable of motion; a silver …

Earlier this month, We The Kings revealed their new tattoos. Last week, Travis Clark blogged about a Mom who hit on him on Warped Tour. (It happens.) This week, we get a look at a day in the very busy life of We The Kings. Check out Travis’ We The Kings tour blog. And stay tuned for more up-to-the-minute tour diaries, updates, photos (like this one of Travis’ Mini Me!), videos and more from We The Kings on Posted.mtv.com.

I’m back for another Warped Tour Update! So lately a ton of movies have been coming out, so I took it upon me to go on a “man date” with one of my best friends, Josh Franceschi from You Me At Six — haha. We went and saw “Despicable Me” in 3D!!!!! It was one of the better movies I’ve seen in awhile. I absolutely love it. The movie made me want to go adopt a thousand kids :)

Other than that, I’ve been super busy with the band. Let me give you a day in the life of me:
July 18th
8pm — Played Warped Tour New Jersey
9pm — Hopped into a car service headed to New York City
9:30pm — I completed two Japan phone interviews while en route to the city.
10:30pm — I arrived in NYC and headed straight to the studio where my friend Mike Posner and I remixed one of our songs off of Smile Kid!
July 19th
4am — Left the studio after a successful collaboration and headed towards the hotel for a three-hour nap.
7am — wake up call in the lobby to go to some meetings in the city.
10am — I finished all the meetings and headed to New Jersey to film our music video for “Promise The Stars.”
11am — We started the filming the video.
11pm — finished the 12-hour music video and headed back to the bus.

July 20th
12:30am — I arrived at the bus just on time to drive to Maryland.

Busy, busy, busy!!! Needless to say, I passed out as soon as I put my head on my pillow. See you guys next week!!! laterrrrr

Love,
Trav

New MTV Photos: A Day To Remember

Author: webc

(Credit: Circe Baumgartner/MTV)

In videos for songs such as “I’m Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?” and “The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle,” A Day To Remember has been shown to be one heavy band that doesn’t mind making light of itself. These exclusive MTV.com pics are no different.

Despite making hard-rocking yet melodic metal-core music, this Florida band knows how to have a laugh. And that’s exactly what they did during this shoot. Whether it’s a shot of guitarist Kevin Skaff dreaming of a six-string or singer Jeremy McKinnon holding a cartoon microphone, the band doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Check out a few photos and A Day To Remember’s “Have Faith In Me” video, all below.

Video Premiere: Chief, ‘Night & Day’

Author: webc

Chief, one of the most buzzed about of the recent wave of chillwave bands, shares a label with She & Him, feels like Fleet Foxes and just dropped its brand-new video, “Night & Day,” in which the group looks like they walked onto the set of a Wes Anderson movie. Come for the glorious harmonies; stay for the facial hair.

+ Watch Night & Day now.

Remember when A Day To Remember dropped that little gem on you in the form of its acoustic performance of “Have Faith In Me” from the rooftop of MTV in Times Square? (Watch it again below if you haven’t seen it yet.) Well we’ll do you one better. Here’s a preview of A Day To Remember’s upcoming video, “Have Faith In Me,” off its still-got-legs album, Homesick. The video was directed by Mark Staubach and premieres on MTV2 and MTVU on Wednesday, July 14.

Green Day Rock Band

We’re just one week away from the release of “Green Day: Rock Band,” as one of the biggest acts in the world conquers an all-new medium: video games. It features 47 of the Berkeley boys’ greatest tracks, including all of Dookie, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.

Recently, Buzzworthy had a chance to talk with Green Day about the game, the group’s all-time best MTV memories and some of the more painful events that have gone down while they were out on tour. We also asked them about the songs that aren’t included in “Green Day: Rock Band.” Of the songs that didn’t make the cut, only two are Green Day songs. One is “Stop Drop and Roll” by their recent side project The Foxboro Hot Tubs, and the other, as Mike Dirnt notes, is a Who cover. The last song that Billie Joe offers up is “Hungry Hungry Models” by The Network -– a band long rumored to be Green Day in disguise, though Green Day’s never confirmed its involvement in the group. Interesting … very interesting.

Watch Green Day discuss the music of “Green Day: Rock Band,” video games, plus their all-time favorite MTV moments, their sickest tour injuries and more in this exclusive interview. In the meantime, check out new “Green Day: Rock Band” video mods for “Know Your Enemy,” “Last of the American Girls” and “21 Guns.” And don’t forget: “Green Day: Rock Band” drops Tuesday, June 8!

Dear Mama: 15 Mother’s Day Videos

From 2Pac appreciating his mother to Danzig belting “Mother” at a full-throated, hard-rock howl, there are plenty of ways to toast the women who gave us life on Mother’s Day. Raise a glass this Mother’s Day, and let these songs be your soun

Green Day is the last of four artists set to appear next month on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” as part of a week of performances dedicated to the reissue of the Rolling Stones’ “Exile on Main Street.”

It’s the evening of Thursday, April 1, and, no foolin’, Broadway’s St. James Theater is packed. Previews of the musical “American Idiot” started little more than a week ago in anticipation of an April 20 opening, and the theater has been close to capacity every night.

It’s hard to match “Spinal Tap” for fictional rock band ridiculousness, but it looks like Infant Sorrow are off to a good start. Who are Infant Sorrow? They’re a fictional band fronted by fictional rockstar Aldous Snow, played by real-life movie star and Katy Perry’s almost-husband, Russell Brand.

In honor of Record Store Day, and in association with the upcoming Brand-as-Snow (along with some Jonah Hill) vehicle, “Get Him To The Greek,” we present you with this limited edition Infant Sorrow t-shirt.

“Get Him To The Greek” finds Brand reprising the role of Snow, who we first met in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” “Get Him To The Greek” is out June 4th. You can check out the trailer below.
