In today’s Star Spotting, we find Ke$ha, taking a break from her opening slot on Rihanna’s Last Girl On Earth tour, to host an event at the Moorea Beach Club at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas.

Mindful of the notoriously conservative crowd who usually attend such Sin City events (heh), or perhaps feeling a bit of the Vegas heat, which reached upwards of 108 degrees this weekend, Ke$ha opted not to don her patented animal headdress to the event. As anyone who has ever sported a headdress in July and in Vegas knows, it can get a little humid under there.

That did not stop her from being photographed with these two gentlemen. Whether the above dudes were Ke$ha’s personal animal headdress assistants, furthering the cause of her burgeoning trend, or simply big-time Ke$ha fans showing their support the best way they know how, we’ll never know.

What we do know is that these dudes deserve our respect, a round of applause and likely a hydrating IV drip. When you sport furry animal headdresses in plus-100 degree weather, you really are going beyond the call of duty.

The boys of 3OH!3 keep it pretty simple in their music. Their songs rock like Def Lep, rap like Run-D.M.C. and have beats even the most “Jersey Shore” phobic among us could beat up. But what about the men behind the music? Well, you’ve come to the right place, it’s the Buzzworthy exclusive Q&A with Boulder’s baddest, 3OH!3.

In this chat, Nathaniel and Sean talk about working with both Katy Perry and Ke$ha and how the two new-pop queens differ. They mention a meeting of the celebratory minds between themselves and Andrew W.K. And they also give some details about the Boulder dance scene and how it shaped them and their music.

Hard to believe, but the young blond lady above, rocking a shark mask with a bloody arm hanging out, is none other than Ke$ha. Actually, what am I saying? It’s incredibly easy to believe. It’s Ke$ha! I mean, this girl really likes wearing weird stuff on her head!

I guess this is the “Blah Blah Blah” singer’s way of subverting the image of celebrity? Or maybe she just wants to give paparazzi photographers a hard time by not showing her face? Maybe she just likes wearing weird stuff on her head! Yeah, I’m gonna go with that one.

Never change, Ke$Ha. Never. Change. We now leave you with a double shot of Ke$ha/3Oh!3 collaborations: “My First Kiss” and “Blah Blah Blah.”

Directed by Isaac Ravishankara, the clip features taxidermy, makeout sessions, 3OH!3 in all their ’80s fashion glory (satin jackets with the sleeves rolled up) and Ke$ha rocking gold lipstick. Bottom line? It’s exuberant as all get out.

Let’s face it: The video had to be mind-boggling to match the energy of the song. Produced by pop wizard Benny Blanco, “My First Kiss” features “We Will Rock You” drums, power chords and gang vocals. If this was playing during my first kiss I’d be way too distracted by the jam in the background to seal the deal.

Call us crazy, but when the “Tik Tok” singer walked the red carpet at the MTV Japan Music Awards this past weekend with a hair-rasing new ‘do, we were instantly reminded us of the classic look Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz used to sport.

Ah, the good ol’ days.

Ke$ha, please tell us you’re NOT going to follow this up with braided dreadlocks. We’re still trying to recover from seeing Bill — and NSYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick — rocking that look.

When I saw Keha perform last weekend at The Bamboozle in East Rutherford, New Jersey, my heart was totally beating like a native drum. Her set was bonkers, and I’m still picking the glitter out of my teeth. (Gross but true.)

Unfortunately, Ke$ha’s boozy onstage banter left something to be desired. Come to think of it, my favorite pop “Backstabber” has never really had the firmest grip on the English language. But that’s part of why I love her! Just when you think she’s reached the end of a verbal diarrhea-inspired tirade, she unleashes another nugget of “WTF?”-induced wisdom that manages to both stupefy and amaze. Check out the following gems.

Without further adieu, here are the our top 5 dumbest Ke$ha quotes.

Our good buddies over at Idolator have unearthed a new Ke$ha track called “Lost Weekend” — and we’re completely smitten! The song is laced with ’80s-inspired dance beats reminiscent of “Electric Youth”-era Debbie Gibson.

In other words, the song is a total G-rated party jam — minus one or two F-bombs thrown in for good measure. At long last, the “Tik Tok” singer has taken a break from chugging Jack Daniel’s and decided to lay out in the sun and sip a bottle of Bartles & Jaymes — metaphorically speaking, of course.

Oddly enough, at the end of the song, it sounds like Ke$ha keeps repeating the word “Faygo” over and over again. Does this mean what we think it means? Is Ke$ha an undercover Juggalo*?

Travie McCoy has gone from going by the name Travis and making backpacker/punk jams with Gym Class Heroes to going by “Travie” and making tongue-in-cheek pop on his own. “Want U Bad” is the second single from McCoy’s upcoming album Lazarus, his solo debut.

With a stomping, glam rock beat, Travis brings Ke$ha into the fold for an auto-tuned, sing-along chorus (“I love the crazy things you do/Because tonight’s the night for me to play the fool”).

The track (spotted at Idolator) is a raw, lusty anthem. Given the flirtation and boy-girl interplay of the track, we can’t wait to see how Ke$ha and Travie interact in a video. Lord knows he owes his ex, Katy Perry, a case of jealousy after that 3Oh!3 video she did (“Starstrukk“).

Just because M.I.A. been quiet musically doesn’t mean she ain’t got her opinions. And in a recent interview with the NME she shared some of them; dissing “Twilight,” Ke$ha and Lady Gaga and killing all of our dreams in the process.

According to M.I.A., Gaga pimps the system. The fiercely political, politically active singer may have “sold out” in the past, but according to the “Paper Planes” pilot, it’s always for a good cause. When she gets a fee to play a corporate show (even one for MTV), she claims the proceeds go towards, “building a school in Africa.”

So she’s got no time for what she sees as Gaga’s brazen commercialization of her music, especially in the video for “Telephone.”Are they even interested in making money from music anymore? Lady Gaga plugs 15 things in her new video. Dude, she even plugs a burger.”

M.I.A’s no fan of Gaga’s music either: “None of her music’s reflective of how weird she wants to be or thinks she is. She models herself on Grace Jones and Madonna, but the music sounds like 20-year-old Ibiza music… But she’s a good mimic. She sounds more like me than I f++++++g do!”

On the top of Ke$ha, M.I.A. makes the oft-made assertion that the “Tik Tok” singer has been biting the style of hipster-dance princess Uffie.

M.I.A. saves her last dart for the the “Twilight” franchise, claiming she dodged the bullet of having to contribute to the soundtrack when label boss Jimmy Iovine intervened and spared her from the chore. Who knew contributing to soundtracks was such a tough gig?

Yesterday, Rihanna finally announced dates for her long-awaited “Last Girl On Earth” tour this summer. [Does running-man in place!] Plus, not only will “Tik Tok” trash queen Ke$ha be opening up the show, but so will Barbie herself, Nicki Minaj.

Details about the tour’s sets and production are still under wraps, but we wouldn’t expect anything less than a total spectacle from the Barbados-born Bettie.
