In Lil Jon’s case, that’s making party music to raise your pimp chalice to. And his new video, “Hey,” featuring 3OH!3 on backup, is certainly no exception.

In the “Hey” video, Lil Jon and 3OH!3 are seen partying in and around Hollywood while the “Jersey Shore” cast — “Hey” is featured on the “Jersey Shore Soundtrack” — does what they do best: party.

Beer is chugged, the Situation’s abs are, once again, flashed, the beat is beaten and the dawn is broken.

Drake’s “Miss Me” is pretty much the musical equivalent of getting a paycheck, slamming a can of energy drink and putting on your Friday night’s finest. No song this year evokes a swagged-out night dancing and partying with friends.

But when you’re Drake, everything comes at a cost, I guess. So his new video for “Miss Me” doesn’t feature any huge entourages or friendly bartenders or sweaty dancers. Nope, it’s just Drizzy performing his banger in a room, joined only intermittently by a very friendly lady.

Like his evocative “Find Your Love” video, filmed in Jamaica, production values are incredibly high on “Miss Me.” You’ll be hard-pressed to find better cinematography in a video this year, and the special effects work is pretty great as well, thanks to director Anthony Mandler.

You might be wondering how Lil Wayne can appear in a video when he is, in fact, calling Rikers Island home these days. Well, Weezy shot his part before he headed to jail, and his role in “Miss Me” is that of an apparition more than anything else, showing up as a back-projected image during the proceedings. You did that, Weezy.

Fast-forward to now. Production threesome Cookin’ Soul, who’ve put their polish on tracks for Soulja Boy, Kanye, Cassie, Nicki Minaj and more, took Jay-Z’s “Hello Brooklyn 2.0″ and the Quincy Jones classic “Summer In The City,” and added some beast black-and-white visuals. Looks like Brooklyn — it’s the New Manhattan! — just got a new look for summer.

It’s been a while since we’ve worn our grill but we can’t think of a more perfect time to get that sucker out of retirement than for MTV Jams to premiere four new Lil Wayne videos this weekend.

The first one’s called “Da Da Da” and features Weezy rocking the face off of a Miami rooftop. Weezy filmed the clip, along with 11 others, back in February over the span of three days, banking a boatload of videos before reporting to Rikers. Dude may be a felon, but dude’s no slacker.

And if you get a little déjà vu sensation watch “Da Da Da,” it’s because the video is oddly reminiscent of the classic U2’s classic “Where The Streets Have No Name” video, which was filmed gorilla-style on a rooftop in Los Angeles back in 1987. We’re sure Bono would be proud.

Directed by DJ Scoob Doo, “I’m Single” has a pretty authentic, if somewhat off-the-cuff, feel to it. The cut was taken from Weezy’s stellar ‘09 mixtape, No Ceilings and, with that in mind, the video sort of matches the whole off-handed charm that mixtapes tend to have.

Lil Wayne makes his living as the bestselling rapper on the planet, but while serving his year-long jail sentence at New York’s Rikers Island, Weezy has entirely new job: keeping watch over suicidal inmates. Antonia “Toya” Johnson, the mother of one of Wayne’s children, tells Us Weekly, “Wayne has a job. They got him on suicide watch for other prisoners. He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves.” Finding himself in a 9-to-5, albeit in prison, Weezy shares a similar complaint with much of the working population. “He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much,” Toya says of the Young Money multimillionaire.

Toya adds that Lil Wayne is adjusting well to prison life, and getting along with his fellow inmates. He’s even managed to avoid getting a haircut. As Rolling Stone previously reported, in addition to suicide prevention tasks, the rapper is also a fledgling jailhouse blogger, writing responses to fan mail on his Weezy Thanx You blog from Rikers, where Lil Wayne is serving a year behind bars — or less with good behavior — after pleading guilty to weapons charges stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City.

As for Toya’s reality-TV costar Tameka “Tiny” Cottle’s fiancee T.I., who just wrapped his own gun-related sentence at a halfway house outside Atlanta, the King rapper’s role during his prison term was serving as a motivational speaker to his fellow inmates — a job he performed before heading off to jail, too.
