Lady Gaga promised to retool her Monster Ball show for its European launch, and she delivered in Manchester, England, last night. According to the BBC, the new electro opera featured a loose narrative (Gaga and her pals race to a party), a 40-foot animatronic sea monster (for the fleeting three minutes she performed “Paparazzi”) and more than a dozen costume changes.
Get a look at the show in our gallery from last night’s gig, plus check out some of Lady Gaga’s most outrageous outfits:

Uniondale, New York, might not the world’s most popular vacation destination but that wasn’t the case this past weekend when the inaugural Pop-Con music festival descended upon Nassau Coliseum and the city was filled with screaming Justin Bieber fans.
That’s right, The Bieb—along with fellow pop peers like Selena Gomez, Nat & Alex Wolff (from the Nickelodeon series The Naked Brothers Band), Push Play and Sean Kingston—took the stage to snap, crackle and pop for thousands of tweens (and probably a couple hundred parents, as well).
Are you kicking yourself for missing the action? Don’t pummel yourself too hard because we’ve got all the photographic goodness here!

Live: Motion City Soundtrack & Friends Performances, Interviews, Photos & More…
Author: webc

Can’t wait for Motion City Soundtrack’s U.S. tour in April? Well we can totally tide you over until then.
As previously mentioned, team Buzzworthy was embedded on the frontlines with camp Motion City Soundtrack when they played at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza with their pals The Swellers, This Providence and Set Your Goals. We got in deep to deliver a great preview feast of what will come in the Spring.
We hung out with the bands before and after the gig (see photos); recorded some of their sets (Motion City Soundtrack’s, plus all the opening band pals) and even interviewed the groups on various subjects from their musical influences and stage fright to being on the road. Here’s a taste of six MCS songs including, “Disappear” and “The Future Freaks Me Out.”
More videos from the show after the jump.
Check out interviews with all the groups.
Live performances by The Swellers, This Providence and Set Your Goals.
After this bitterly cold winter, if that doesn’t get you psyched for Spring, we’re not sure what will.
We all knew it was bound to occur sometime and at 7 PM on Tuesday, February 16, it finally did: Pete Wentz lost his marbles. It happened last night when the former Fall Out Boy bassist premiered his latest line of fashions for Clandestine Industries during New York Fashion Week. Instead of walking the runway after the show’s completion and giving a gracious bow like most sane designers do, Wentz decided to cart out his crazy—literally.

Apparently, Pete warned his fans and fashion onlookers that the show was going to be more of a spectacle than a straight-up clothing explosion, but that didn’t prepare the crowd for the homage to Hannibal Lecter. Despite the hushed gasps of the audience, Wentz’s enthusiasm for the show couldn’t be curbed. Pete even tweeted later, “Its gonna get crazier. I don’t care what people think anymore.” Looks like someone’s been hanging out with John Mayer too much. Oh, in case you’re interested in what’s new in the cotton world of Clandestine, here are a couple looks from last night’s show after the jump!

Lady Gaga In Alexander McQueen’s Fashions: Photos Of Our Favorite Looks
Author: webc
The fashion world is reeling today over the tragic death of British designer Alexander McQueen, fashion’s l’enfant terrible, who came up under the tutelage of his friend and idol, Isabella Blow, and was responsible for some of the most avant-garde fashions sent down the runway and red carpets on the Kate Moss (whose hologram eerily hovered over his the runway of his Fall/Winter 2006 show), Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, and, most recently Lady Gaga.
We thought we’d pay tribute to Alexander McQueen’s untimely demise by showcasing our favorite McQueen looks on one of his biggest fans — Lady Gaga, whose “Bad Romance” single debuted during the end of Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2010 show in Paris. Obviously the love and adoration was mutual between these two icons.

Lady Gaga At The 2009 VMAs: Lady Gaga wore Alexander McQueen’s red lace dress when she accepted her 2009 Best New Artist VMA for “Poker Face.” Gaga’s red dress was from Alexander McQueen Fall 1998 collection.

Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” Gold Dress: Alexander McQueen’s sky-high, jewel-encrusted armadillo heels attracted most of the awe and attention in “Bad Romance,” but the gold origami-fold dress Lady Gaga wears in the beginning of “Bad Romance” is from Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 collection.

Lady Gaga’s Black “Bad Romance” Dress: The little black dress Lady Gaga wears in the beginning of her “Bad Romance” video is also Alexander McQueen.

Lady Gaga’s Jeweled “Bad Romance” Dress: The reptilian sequined dress with a bubble skirt is from McQueen’s Spring 2010 collection.

“Dance In The Dark” Cover: The cover of Lady Gaga’s “Dance In The Dark” single features Gaga in a gold paillette-covered shrug from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2007 collection.

As we prepare to live blog Hope for Haiti, the mega-telethon featuring performances by Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Jay-Z with U2 and dozen more stars, Rolling Stone hopes you pause to look through Jeff Antebi’s photographs from Haiti. The music industry vet explains how he went from shepherding Danger Mouse’s career to documenting current events after the jump.
• Images From Haiti: Photos By Music Biz Vet Jeff Antebi
“I founded Waxploitation with the goal of discovering and creating unique music projects. The last three artists I developed were Danger Mouse, Gnarls Barkley and Broken Bells. Last year though, I started to feel drawn to other passions and decided to take a sabbatical from the music industry. This led me to a sort of blend between art photography and war photography. I went to fairly dangerous places like Afghanistan, Haiti and Juarez with the goal of doing artistic photography in the midst of the chaos. Haiti was the first place I visited, and while poverty was horrific in places like Cite Soleil, but the people, especially the kids, had an unbelievable sense of humor.
Even though I was there for limited amounts of time, I took hundreds of photographs of people. When the earthquake struck and killed 200,000 people in almost an instant, I could recall those people as easily as I could my family. Now they feel like friends quite possibly dead or severely injured. But I don’t know their names or anything tangible about their identities I’ll never have the ability to know if they survived. My ‘Haiti’ folder feels like a cemetery.”

When we had Never Shout Never’s Christofer Drew stop by to answer your queries for our Buzzworthy Blog Fan Interview it was impossible to overlook his nautical The Old Man And The Sea theme to his look.
In these exclusive MTV photos you can see Admiral Drew in all his naval glory. He’s got the pea coat, the sailor’s cap and, in a mark of true dedication, two anchors tattooed on either hand.
He’s also rocking an entire summer’s worth of camp-made friendship bracelets and assorted other wrist trinkets.
Perhaps most telling is the “Don’t Worry Be Happy” (holler at Bobby McFerrin) top he’s sporting. It’s an appropriate slogan for his acoustic, ebullient emo-folk. Can’t wait to hear it in all its glory when his What Is Love album finally drops in January.

This just in — Lady Gaga looked very normal and cute as a young girl. This may come as a shock to you since you’re used to seeing Lady Gaga looking like this:
… Or like this:
… Or this:
… Or this:

… But beneath all that blood, lace, and Latex, Lady Gaga — born Stefani Germanotta — used to be Just Like Us — a little girl who went to Catholic school and danced with her daddy during high school, as evidenced by these early Gaga photos from In Touch. Unlike us, Lady Gaga resembled a young Madonna in that iconic photo at her communion:

Also, unlike us, Lady Gaga grew up to be one of the biggest performers on the planet. Still, enjoy these portraits of the artist as a very young lady… before she looks like this again:

On December 8th, 1980, Annie Leibovitz photographed John Lennon and Yoko Ono at what would become the Beatle’s last-ever photo session. Hours later, he was shot and killed outside his New York City apartment building at the age of 40. One of the images from that final shoot became the iconic cover of our January 22, 1981 issue.
As we remember Lennon today, on the 29th anniversary of his untimely death, his music is perhaps more alive than ever: thanks to the digital remastering of the Beatles’ full catalog and the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, a new generation is discovering Lennon anew.
Earlier this year, Rolling Stone investigated the Beatles’ last days with a fresh look at the demise of the world’s greatest group. Flip through an illustrated guide to the band’s breakup and read writer Mikal Gilmore’s thoughts about the Fab Four’s fall, along with the rest of our essential Beatles coverage here.
